Creating Connections Speech Pathology
Supporting communication. Strengthening connection.
Welcome
Creating Connections Speech Pathology is a small team of skilled speech pathologists providing high quality communication assessment and intervention from 4 years of age. We prioritise getting to know an individual's strengths, interests and challenges. We also focus on building the confidence of parents to support their child’s communication. Based in a welcoming clinic room in Airport West, we also love travelling to schools to provide therapy within familiar, everyday environments.

About Tess
Tess started Creating Connections Speech Pathology in 2020, bringing together her experience across private practice, school wellbeing, and multidisciplinary clinical settings. Before opening the clinic, Tess worked as a speech pathologist across a range of working environments including schools and private practice. Tess also worked as a wellbeing coordinator in a primary school. This assisted in her developing a deep understanding of how communication, wellbeing, learning, and relationships intersect throughout different settings.
Tess has a strong passion for supporting social communication, with a particular interest in helping children and young people build meaningful relationships, confidence, and connection. Her approach is relationship-based and neuroaffirming, prioritising connection, safety, and trust as the foundation for growth. Tess also provides support across literacy, oral language, emotional regulation, and articulation.
Through Creating Connections Speech Pathology, Tess is committed to delivering personalised support that empowers individuals, families, and communities to communicate, connect and thrive.
Outside of work, Tess enjoys yoga, pilates and spending time with family and friends.

Services
Sessions that build skills, confidence, and connection. Our therapy is individualised, evidence-based, and strengths-focused. We work with clients, families, schools, and other professionals to build meaningful communication that support participation at home, school, and in the community.
Therapy
Online or Telehealth services have been a core part of our company since 2020. We have found this service effective and efficient. NDIS funding and Medicare rebates can be used for speech pathology services delivered via Telehealth. Creating Connections will continue to offer online services for those who prefer these sessions.
Telehealth
Creating Connections Speech Pathology clients are required to participate in an initial assessment. If the client has completed an assessment within the past six months, a comprehensive reassessment may not be necessary. We will however undertake an initial session to ensure we develop a holistic understanding of the clients communication profile, as well as current concerns and goals. This process allows us to build a strong, collaborative partnership with families from the outset. We prioritise listening to parent perspectives and working together to establish meaningful, individualised goals that support all clients communication and overall development.
